Still working with the Corvids

This little black and white piece is a monoprint with collage elements and spray paint. I haven’t been able to use the studio as much as I would like this summer, family commitments and holidays have eaten into my time. The crow decoys that I have in my studio crowd around a life sized mannequin ho keeps me company now… A murder of crows? Β An accusation of Ravens,? I know that I’m beginning to feel frustrated at not getting on with more work, no deadlines or any other pressures other than my own addiction to making work, and I’m having withdrawal symptoms . I hope everyone else is having a productive summer … Have fun! πŸ™‚

  1. Brilliant Lynne! The monochrome and the combination of those techniques works an absolute treat with the crows. I love this image, it’s right up my street. Hope you find time to get making again soon, I’d love to see more Corvids πŸ™‚

  2. I’ve only just caught up with this post, Lynne…! I absolutely love that image – terrifically powerful and good on the eye! It sounds as if we’ve had similarly frustrating summers…..I’ll be fully back in the studio next Thursday when I wave the last of the guests goodbye…can’t wait πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you!
It’s so easy to be side tracked, I almost feel ashamed that I don’t just lock myself in there and forget other demands, but I can’t . I am back with force this Monday ( getting over an episode of shingles this past 2 weeks 😦 ) I am really ready to start working again. Good luck with your re-start πŸ™‚
